We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.

Powerbets has an overall margin of 5.75% for football and falls in the average value category. In the first section using odds from the English Premier League, the margin is at 5.30%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, has a margin of 5.19%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa, the margin is at 6.77%.

Range of Sports: Powerbets is a relatively new online betting platform that is growing to be a force reckoned in the Ghanaian betting industry. Their sports selection is relatively average as there are only few sports to wager on their platform. This limits the chances of punters for betting and takes away the benefits of being spoilt with choices.

This is as opposed to other betting platforms that have provisions for a wide range of sport selection and not only that, even giving punters the opportunity to bet on politics and other non-sporting activities.

However, it would be sufficing to note that if you are a fan of top sports like football, basketball, volleyball, etc, you won’t have the easiest of times navigating through each category on Powerbets.

There is one area in dire need of an improvement though. Their user interface is relatively bland, uninteresting and needs a couple of tweaks to spruce it up to standard.

Also, their casino section is almost empty with just a few games to play. Casino lovers that want to play on a variety of casino games, might find this discouraging. This could also contribute to the migration of casino lovers from the platform to other websites where things are better.

There are also very limited virtual games to play on this platform. For those who don't like to bet on live sport events, they may find this discouraging as well.

As at the time of this review, the site has just about 11 sports available and this lends credence to our earlier concerns about having limited sports selection. The platform needs to do better in this regard by adding more sports to their catalogue and also other interesting activities or events that could wager on.

Range of Bets and Markets: Having options cannot be underestimated. The management of this betting company needs to understand that their users are comprised of different people who want different things and should make available everything necessary to cater to their diverse needs.

It is basic human nature to be attracted to a bookie that offers choices on the platter. Bookies have since time immemorial exploited this technique to lure punters into their site and so far, it has always proven effective.

As for betting options, Powerbets is underperforming as there are not enough betting options available for most of the sports category. Football seems to be the only sport that they regard so well, which they try to provide at least 150 markets for each match. Regardless, that is way below from what is seen with other Ghanaian betting sites in comparison.

Though, for football, the platform holds some really interesting markets like "1st half market" "Home Multigoals" "Away Multigoals," and many more.

It is worthy of concern that top sports like basketball are found lacking in the availability of betting options. It can be discouraging for lovers of basketball; however, the basketball category holds some pretty interesting options like the "Winning margin" "Handicap" and a host of others.

In retrospect, the site apparently looks like it needs a lot of touch ups to make it up to standard. Other sport categories should be given attention and improved with more betting options to assure the punters of a pleasurable betting experience on the platform.

Betting limits: Betting limits are on a fair level here. Most probably they will fit ok to the majority of the players. You may expect the less popular markets having lowered betting limits, as it’s the norm for almost every bookmaker out there.

Powerbets have a live betting section that ultimately needs to be worked on. Firstly, the ‘live section’ icon itself was difficult to locate on the website and one could even think they have no live betting available on their sportsbook. Moving further, they have only football, basketball and tennis available to wager on in this section. They must also improve on the options they have for the aforementioned sports. To make emphasis on this issue, football is the sport with most focus on the website and the live section has less than 30 options for in-play, which is rather bad. It is no surprise at all that they are yet to integrate the live streaming feature to their platform.
