We calculated the margin for Greatodds by analysing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:

Over 5% to 7%: Average value

Over 7% to 10%: Poor value

We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.

Greatodds has an overall margin of 5.09% for football and falls in the average value category, missing the Good value rating for just a bit, having indeed great odds as its name suggests. In the first section using odds from the English Premier League, the margin is at 3.88%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, has a margin of 3.97%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa, the margin is at 7.42%.

Range of Sports: Greatodds is an online betting platform that is fast garnering a wide audience in Ghana. The platform understands how vital it is to have numerous sports to pick, and as such leaves no stones unturned in that regard. On the platform, you can bet on sporting events like football, basketball, handball, tennis and other kinds of events like politics and entertainment to mention but a few. As at the time of this review, Greatodds have 23 different sporting events to wager on including politics and esports.

Lovers of virtual games are put in consideration when creating this platform, as there is a plethora of virtual games to pick from. In the virtual section, you get to find games like: virtual world cup, virtual tennis and virtual basketball.

The platform also harbors one of the finest live casino sections you can find around. Here you get to feel the thrill and the experience is nothing short of amazing.

The user interface is impressive. The alignment of each section makes it easy to navigate around the website. However, there is a whole lot of work left to be done as regards the colour themes, considering how bland and dull the aesthetics of the website is currently.

Range of Bets and Markets: It is not enough to have a fleet of sports on the sports menu, it is even more important to have more options for betting on each sports category. Experts in the betting business credit the growth in active users to the diversity of betting options available.

In this regard, Greatodds are doing just relatively well. It could easily be argued that the betting options available are basic and not as broad as other platforms provide. So, they need to do better by providing more options as this is one of the things that a customer wants to have.

As at the time of this review, there are just about 100 betting markets on most football events. It would suffice to also note that, the platform ensures each sport gets a wide array of options, so the concentration is not just on football alone.

Betting limits: There aren’t any problems with limitations on the amount that can be placed on a bet so the vast majority of the players won’t have to think about limits at any time. For lower leagues though, you can expect lower limits as usual.

Greatodds are not left out of the ever-growing list of bookmakers in Ghana that have live betting on their sportsbook. For their live betting section, they have six different sports available to wager on. Asides football, you can also try your luck on the likes of basketball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis and esports.

We were left impressed with their betting options in this category. Apart from football, they provided decent enough options to wager on for the other sports too. Taking basketball into account, they had 15+ options for a live game. Of course, this could be even better but it’s a good number when you consider what other bookies have available for sports other than football.

However, there was one major let-down. The colour schemes for this section were a bit complex and navigation could be a bit difficult. It could even prove to be a task selecting your options without making a mistake and that could be a turnoff given that live betting is supposed to be fast and instantaneous. This is an area they must work on in due time along with a live streaming service which could really shake things up.
